ABOUT YOGA

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "Yuj" meaning to yoke, join or unite. This implies joining or integrating all aspects of the individual - body with mind and mind with soul - to achieve a happy, balanced and useful life, and spiritually, uniting the individual with the supreme.

In India, Yoga is considered one of the six branches of classical philosophy and is referred to throughout the Vedas - ancient Indian scriptures and amongst the oldest texts in existence. The Upanishads are also broadly philosophical treatises which postdate the Vedas and deal with the nature of the "soul" and universe.

Ashtang Yoga: The eight limbs of yoga are

  • Yama: Moral and ethical restraints-social discipline.
  • Niyama: Observances-individual discipline.
  • Asana: Posture, Seat
  • Pranayama: Control of life energy through the breath
  • Pratyahara: Mind withdrawal from the senses.
  • Dharana: Concentration
  • Dhyana: Meditation
  • Samadhi: Super consciousness or union with the divine.

Office Yoga

It improves the mental activity decreases the physical exertion during the computerised daily life and it also increases the feeling of confidence in every sphere of life.

Kid's Yoga

It become possible to mould and motivate kid's minds in such a way that they could grow up physically and spiritually healthy and responsible individuals.

Women's Yoga

With this we not only achieve outward results like slimness, poise, muscular co-ordination, but also find the inner and fundamental truth of life.

Restorative Yoga

The life force in the body is derived the air we inhale this life energy is the food of mind, when sufficient life energy is produced, the mind grows stronger and sharper.
