• Sona geru-It is sweet, astringent, anti-phlegmatic, anti-bilious and cooling. It is only purified and not required to undergo the incineration process. It is used in skin diseases, piles, bleeding disorders, ulcers, boils, urticaria, vomiting, hiccups etc.
• Inderyav-It is used to treat fever, diarrhea, bleeding piles, vomiting, leprosy and herpes (visarp). It is also a beneficial herb for treating gout, bleeding disorders, kapha related problems and used to treat excessive pain.
• Neem- Its astringent properties reduce the formation of gas, and thus help with bringing down bloating, flatulence and abdominal issues. This potent drink also helps to get rid of constipation and other problems.
• Shafatika bhasma-Used to cease bleeding in case of bleeding piles with its hemostatic activity and acts as a blood purifier. Its astringent property helps reduce bleeding from minor wounds and also aids in skin contracting and the closure of wound openings. Improves the wound infection in piles.
• Babool- Babool powder shows good result in pain or bleeding piles due to its Sita ( cold) potency and Kashaya (astringent) properties.
• Kutaja-Kutaj is useful for piles, especially bleeding piles, due to its astringent property. It heals bleeding piles by constricting the blood vessels in the anal or rectal area.
• Rasanjan -used in Ayurveda formulations for therapeutic purposes and for the preparation of Rasanjana, crude concentrated extract prepared from the roots and stem bark. It is use to cure several ailments, including conjunctivitis, bleeding piles, ulcers, jaundice, hepatosplenomegaly.
