• Guggulu-guggulu extracts reduced nerve damage and memory loss in mica with artificially induced brain damage . levels of antioxidant amino acids were increased and oxidative stress in the brain was reduced.
• Iron oxide –iron is involved in many fundamental biological processes in the brain including oxygen transportation, DNA synthesis, mitochondrial respiration , myelin synthesis and neurotransmitter synthesis and metabolism.
• Mica –abhrak  bhasma or black mica is used to treat Alzheimer’s disease and other psychotic illnesses because it is a brain tonic and stimulant that improves memory thinking , problem solving and other cognitive capacities.
